WABL Coaching Positions
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced coaches for the 2015 BWA State Championships and the 2016 WABL season.
The Under 12s Hotshots Program has been designed for players to gain valuable experience and tools to help them improve their game. The Under 12 Hotshots Program is the first step on the pathway for WA player development under the BWA High Performance Program.
Throughout the year metropolitan and country regions host a skills day with all U12 athletes welcome with Basketball WA running the day’s events with qualified coaches covering the latest drills.

SBL 2015 Retrospective
Men and Women defeated in Quarter-Finals.
It would be easy to focus on the negatives this week, but as any season that doesn't result in a championship is bound to end in a disapointing exit, I'm choosing to focus on the positives over the season.
Early this year we saw a depleted women's and men's player list staring down a tough year ahead. Both teams lost 4 players each (inc 3 starters from the women and 2 from the men). All in all, it looked like it was going to be a long season for the club. However, Matt Parsons and Deanna Smith worked hard in the pre-season to sure-up their respective rosters. It has been a great accomplishment to get both teams into the finals, with the men finishing an impressive 4th, and the women 8th.
I'd also like to pass on a huge thank you to all the volunteers involved in the programmes and the SBL game nights. This league would not survive without you!
The SBL presentation night has been tentatively set for Saturday, September 12th. Further news on that soon.
And if you hunger for more live basketball action, remember the SBL semi-finals begin this weekend. Good luck to all the participants!
